Although Tania only started to play when she was aged nine, she had a very successful junior career having played representatively 22 times and won the European and British Junior titles.
She had planned to go to university, but a trip to Rio de Janeiro in 1997 led to her returning home as World Junior Champion and her thoughts moved to a professional career.
She has played consistently well to climb up the rankings into the top 10. Cassie Jackman was the player she had looked up to, but now has joined her as part of the top flight.
The girl who had been a county athlete and netball player now has ambitions to be the best player in the world.
As she has already become an established international she is making great progress towards her goals.
